UCF Has an Astonishing Fall Semester

With the fall semester coming to a close, the UCF Knights are heading home for the holidays ranked 5th in the nation!!! National Rankings The fall semester was filled with a demanding practice and game schedule. Tough scrimmages, along with community volunteer events filled our calendars. The D1 team had a great run through the semester finishing 6-1. The only loss was in the opening game of the season, which they bounced back from very quickly and demolished teams in the other 3 games of that event. From there the D1 team went to Ft. Myers, FL and manhandled teams with 3-0 finish. Look for a few big upcoming games in the spring semester. The weekend of Jan 24th the knights will be traveling to Beachton, GA where we will most likely play the 6th ranked University of Florida Gators. This will be our biggest regional game of the year. On top of this at the end of January the Knights are also traveling to Pittsburgh for a massive inter regional event where at least 5 of the top 10 teams will be present. This trip has been made possible by the amazing fundraiser the team ran called “My Sports Dreams.” To date the team has raised over $7,500 in profits. On top of all these accomplishment the Knights B team has also made a name for themselves. Ranked 1st in the Southeast Region, the Knights B team has even upset D2 teams this year. With the addition of two new players to both teams, this spring semester should be an even better showing for the organization. The Knights are shooting for a repeat this year with a D1 and B Regional Championship, along with a final four finish from both teams at nationals.
